Hot on the heels of Flux label boss and Atomic Jam resident DJ Chris Finke's massive "The Riot House" (supported by artists as diverse as DJ Hell, Luciano, Joey Beltram, Technasia, Paul Woolford, Luke Slater, James Lavelle and loads more), we now have the second in our "Adventures of Flux Recordings" various artists EPs.
Our Last "Adventures Of..." EP back in 2004 helped to introduce the world to Darko Esser who has gone on to become a real force and one of Holland's most respected exports, and we have more fresh talent for you on this installment.
First up, Romart from Cork in Ireland has only been making electronic music for 10 months, but the results are pretty astonishing. This dark, rolling, tripped out track is a testament to his different approach to music making, so expect to see loads more from this man in the very near future.
Raw Hedroom has turned heads recently with his releases on Trapez and Trapez Ltd with his super funky beats and complex synth programming. He was recently one of the only "new breed" of Trapez artists featured on their recent compilation CD celebrating 100 Trapez releases. This track has been kicking around the Flux office since last year and has featured in many of Chris's sets. A shuffley drum track and wacked out lead riff make this a dancefloor killer in any set.
Kerkez (aka Goran Kan) from Macedonia has been firmly at the forefront of his country's scene for a few years now, DJing at the biggest events and hosting the Concept Radio Show (with Mark Williams). His recent remix of Mark Broom on Soma records got the attention into the boxes of DJs everywhere. "Bongo Lines" is our favourite track of his so far, and you'll see why when you check it out....
Patrick Kunkel from Cocoon Recordings steps up for his first outing on Flux with a wicked 303 tinged tech house workout. The man who has also released on Silver Planet and International Freakshow hits us up with this big room tune combining sharp beat and an infectious hook. This has been going down a treat on CDR for a few months so we are glad to give it a home on this EP.
